Collaborative, Compassionate, Holistic

History

I am a native Oregonian glad to have lived in four corners of the country and even gladder to be home.  I received my Bachelors of Psychology and Sociology from the University of Oregon.  I received my Masters in Counseling Psychology from Pacific University.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Oregon.  My license number is C2189.

Since 2003, I have worked with people who struggle with depression, anxiety, trauma, perinatal and postpartum issues, eating disorders, body image dissatisfaction and more.  This work has occurred in a variety of settings, including crisis centers, managed care settings, partial hospital and intensive outpatient settings.

I consider myself a holistic therapist, which means that I do not assume all issues are psychological.   I bring warmth and humor, as well as transparency and directness to the work.

I am trained in the use of many treatment modalities that incorporate mind-body awareness.  These include but are not limited to: Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).  I also utilize Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for a variety of issues.  I am a certified EMDR clinician, as well as a certified Perinatal Mental Health Clinician (PMH-C).

In my off time, I enjoy DIY projects around the house, hiking, science fiction, and connecting with my spouse and our two kids.  We all enjoy traveling to just about anywhere.
